Spenser & Williams Commits to 100% Recycled Packaging by 2028
Cincinnati, OH โ June 12, 2026
Spenser & Williams today announced an accelerated timeline for its packaging programme, committing to 100% recycled or renewable content across all consumer-facing packaging by 2028 โ two years ahead of the original 2030 target.
The commitment covers all eight SW brands: Brightwell, Purevale, Lumira, Everley, Vireo, LittleHaven, Sunhaven, and Marloe Farms. SW currently operates at 50% recycled content and has partnered with three advanced recycling facilities to close the remaining gap.
Why 2028
Consumer expectations and regulatory frameworks converged faster than the company had planned for, and the packaging teams found headroom that had not existed two years ago.
What changes first
Brightwell concentrates and Sunhaven cans reach full recycled content in 2027, since both already run on recycled substrates. Skin-care and oral-care packaging follows in 2028 once barrier requirements are re-qualified.
Progress will be reported in the annual sustainability report and audited by a third party each year.
