Vireo Joins Plastic Health Council

Cincinnati, OH — March 5, 2026

Vireo has joined the Plastic Health Council, committing to independent research into microplastic exposure from oral care products and packaging.

The brand already ships biodegradable floss across all lines and offers a plastic-free packaging option on its toothpaste range.

The research agenda

Vireo will co-fund work on microplastic shedding from toothbrush filaments and floss, publishing results whether or not they favour current products.
